Nylon Cue Tip Fastener
The nylon cue tip fastener is placed on the end of the shaft of the cue to secure tips when carrying out a replacement. To secure the fastener, the long part of the shaft should sit nicely against the cue shaft. The nylon overhand on the nylon fastener sits firmly on top of the new tip.
The circular fastener is slid down the nylon shaft of the cue tip fastener and slowly tightens against the cue shaft. You would leave the fastener in place until the cue tip has set and is ready to shape.
For those of you who are paranoid against marking your shaft (and that includes us), place a match in between the shaft and tightening ring. The match takes up any tension.
This is a really simple tool and provides great results.

This very simple and effective tool comes with a nylon moulding. The moulding sits snug against the cue shaft and also a retaining ring that secures the shaft holding the tip in place.
