56 Three Quarter Olivewood Snooker Cue – Snooker Crazy Thai Cue Range
The shaft ash is carefully selected for strength and straightness. The butt is made from a solid piece of Olivewood and jointed to the shaft using a solid brass vacuum joint. The joint is fitted approximately 15″ from the end of the ebony butt.
Once the final tapering has been achieved, numerous sanding processes are undertaken to achieve that great ‘silky smooth’ finish we all strive for.
Understanding the requirements nowadays for cue extensions, we have ensured that a Spiroloc (small) joint has been fitted to all our range in case a mini butt or telescopic extensions are required now or into the future. Our Spioloc extensions are a high quality product and can be purchased separately on our website if required. Once the first stage of the cue has been completed in Thailand, it is shipped in a solid container to the UK.
Here in the UK, this cue has then undergone many stages of a new oiling/waxing finishing process to get that great smooth finish we all look for when playing on the green baize.
Tip
We have tried many tips for our cues but have settled on the Grand Soft. We don’t just glue a tip on and send it on it’s way, we wanted to give you an opportunity to try a that gives a better grip and compression whilst maintaining a shape that doesn’t mushroom. The Snooker Crazy Cues are made by our cue maker in Thailand. For some time we have been searching for a cue maker who can make quality cues without breaking the bank. We have chosen a cue range that provides an excellent range of exotic woods some of which are rarely seen in the more standard snooker cues you find in the UK. Top grade wood is getting harder and harder to source in the UK and much of the larger stocks have been on their way to Thailand for some time now. With these huge stocks they certainly have a selection to die for when matching shafts to their exotic range of woods for splicing. The Thai cue makers are rapidly becoming some of the best cue makers in the world so when trying to get as much cue as we can for our range we have gone here to find a cue maker who can supply us quality at competitive price.
